About me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist LMFT 135090. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University Dominguez Hills. I went on to earn my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University.
During my training I worked with a diverse populations of adults, couples, and families with a wide range of issues they were dealing with. During this time I focused on developing the skills necessary for developing a strong therapeutic relationship and helping individuals and couples find their hope and work through their struggles.
I am an EMDR trained practitioner experienced in treating many types of trauma. I also have received training in sex addiction and treating individuals and couples affected by it.
Prior to this, I was a licensed vocational nurse and combat medic in the United States Army. I served on active duty for 10 years and in that time I had the privilege of working with people from many backgrounds and that experience has served me well to this day. As a nurse I have also seen the amount of suffering the human body can withstand. This experience combined with my current work has allowed me to have a holistic view of the human condition.
I look forward to working with you!
